Vampires are so flipping hot these days; no joke, everywhere you turn a bloodsucker is staring right back at you.  From The Twilight Saga: New Moon promos, to the juicy storylines of The Vampire Diaries to custom made vampire veneers, everyone wants in on this craze, even wizard are switching teams.  The Simpsons have announced that Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to voice a vampire in their Treehouse of Horror XXI, airing next October.

Robert Pattinson just got some tough competition as The Simpsons announced that Daniel Radcliffe will be channeling his inner vampire for the show.  Next year, DanRad in all his glory will be lending his voice to Edmund, the vegetarian vampire who falls for Lisa.  Lisa and Edmund have two big problems standing in their way of happiness; their fathers are Homer and Dracula.  While Homer and Dracula desperately try to separate the new couple, fans can only begin to guess the humor that will be thrown into the mix.

Executive producer Al Jean joked around with Entertainment Weekly about squeezing Radcliffe for info on the next Harry Potter film.  “Sadly,” Jean replied, “and we kept trying to ask him for secrets from the upcoming Harry Potter movie until we realized that they were all in the books.”  Jean also went on to add, “Daniel was very excited to do The Simpsons,” and fans are excited as well.  No need to count down the days until DanRad turns into a bloodsucker, because the episode is not slated to air until the fall of 2010 during the Treehouse of Horror XXI.
